MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A North Memphis man stated he was compelled to make use of a pocket knife after an intruder armed with a steel pipe broke into his home Sunday evening.
Lyles stated by the point he bought to the kitchen, the person had shattered his kitchen window with the pipe and was coming by way of the window.
“First, he was beating on the door. He couldn’t get by way of the door, so he went to the again window, and he had this pipe in his hand, and he saved banging it till he busted it out,” stated Lyles.

He stated after he stabbed the burglar in his facet, he bought out of the window and tried to interrupt into the again of his neighbor’s residence.
“I approached him when he went to my neighbor’s home as a result of he’s eighty years previous. That’s when he began swinging at me with the pipe and when he began swinging, that’s when police got here,” stated Lyles.
Police had been in a position to take Stephen Glenn into custody and charged him with aggravated housebreaking, however Lyles stated he didn’t go quietly.
